racf.pdf (800k) Notes on using these RACF utilities
tso.exe (64k) Quick reference help for TSO command syntax for RACF v2r2
racf.exe (3.5M) complete set of 'RACF' utilities (i.e. lots of 'exe' files which simply need to be copied onto a PC, no 'installation' is required and hence no need fo any admin rights on the PC) Simple installer which asks where to decompress files to. Fully signed executable - follow this link for the Trusted 3rd party root new!
racf.ini (3k) sample ini file, must be located in same directory as IRRDBU00 download
dosutils.exe (220k) optional, but very useful generic DOS command line text processing utilities extensively refurbished into a set of utilities with a common version number Current version is 1.1 released 15th May 2005 Fully signed executable - follow this link for the Trusted 3rd party root
reports.bat (2k) sample batch file which will create a useful selection of reports which can then be easily viewed using the reports.htm sample file
reports.htm (5k) sample html to facilitate easy viewing of the selection of reports created using the reports.bat sample file
reports.zip (3k) reports.htm and reports.bat in zip format for easier downloading
racfsmf.txt (23k) sample jcl to produce a RACF ICETOOL style audit report (many thanks to all those who have helped and had input, this has been an exercise in pulling together lots of input from others into a form I am happy with, I couldn't have done it without you) reporting on RACF violations, commands etc.
moresmf.txt (4k) sample jcl to produce a RACF ICETOOL style audit report but reporting on security related system activity which is not specifically RACF, e.g. defining, deleting or renaming datasets, etc.
audtrpts.txt (25k) Modified racfsmf reports so that it only performs a single pass over the input IRRADU00 file to produce all of the reports hence runs considerably quicker with the same results. Most of the reports in racfsmf are still there with just a few modifications. Many thanks to Michael Brench for this version.
frank yaeger A couple of useful examples from the DFSORT / ICETOOL guru himself.
lr.txt (rexx) Neat little rexx to issue the 'LISTDSD' RACF command to list the correct RACF DATASET profile that protects the supplied DATASET name. Many thanks to Steve Neeland for this one.
clone.zip (rexx) A rexx based menu system for cloning user IDs supplied by Andy Parker. Note: it doesn't clone everything, but is a good base to customise to your own requirements. My thanks to Andy for supplying the sample rexx, and thanks also to the author who wishes to remain anonymous. Supplied as is.

Check for trivial RACF passwords, CRACF and WEAKWORD utilities
General purpose Text Search utility, and general purpose report utility
My OS/390 links page, and now also OMVS utilities for use with the irrhfsu unload.
